Wedding Invitation Etiquette?

I sense that you do care about proper etiquette, but unfortunately one may not put what you are hoping to write about monetary gifts on an invitation. And those couples who DO have a registry should not put it on the invitation either. It is proper to wait until asked and then mention the registry. Nowadays, most people know to check the wedding channel or the knot.com and see if the couple are listed. But nowhere do you list what you want or where the registry is. Sorry.
