Why do homosexuals really want to get married?

Is it because they ar the abnormal trying to convince the rest they are just like Phil and Tina, the newlyweds down the street? Or do they simply resent Phil and Tina for being the normal, regular, ready-for-childbearing newlywed couple? Their is no way they can compare their deviancy to Phil and Tina's real marriage in a healthy, normal, biblical( if that's your thing) kind of way.
