What the difference between middle class people and Upper middle class people?

I used to only think that there were three classes. Like "upper class" "middle class" and "working class". But I've heard more commonly in the media people talking about upper middle classes. How would these people differ from normal middle class people. For example what incomes would both earn? What areas would they live in? what cars might they drive compared to middle class people?
