Why do some peope have a much more difficult time studying in a group or when people are looking at them?

i dont like people wathing what im doing over my shoulder i find it really offputting and i cant write anything i failed a test once because of this an examiner was stood behind me throughout and watchig what i was doing it was quite annoying
